Taylor's fam- states that Mr- TaIor suffered a compound fracture of the leg just above the knee on Friday of last week. Mr. Taylor was pulling willows with a tree pulling machine when some part of the machine broke, causing the accident. The accident occurred at the Taylor home near Elk Creek, California. He died at Prineville March 11. 1915. at the age of 25 years, 9 months and'lG days. He came to Prineville with his foster parents. Mr. and Mrs. John Hous ton, May, 1907, and has resided here since. He is survived by his foster parents, three brothers, John of Prineville. who was with him during his last sickness and death, Alex Holland of Baker City, and Henry Holland of Little Falls, Wash.; two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Pierson of Charleston, S- C, and Ida Holland of Florida; four foster brothers, Floyd. Thomas, Charles and Elbert Houston, and two foster sisters, Mrs. Harlie Sanders and Miss Hattie Houston, of BearCreek, to mourn his loss. Wenandy, wife of "Jack" Wenandy the Bend automo bile and liveryman, committed sui cide at the Wenandy homt, in Kend this morning some time after mid night. Mrs. Wenandy was lust seen alive about midnight. She had been talking to Mr. Wenandy who has been in Portland for the past week or ten days and it is said that some thing that roncerned the conversa tion had over the telephone had something to do with the net. Coroner Poindexter and County Physician Rosenberg left for Bend this forenoon whore an inquest will be held this afternoon. Examina tion by Bend physicians revealed the fact that Mrs. Wennndv had taken enough strychnine to kill a dozen people. The Wenandys have been married less than a year. Mrs. Wenandy was formerly a school teacher at Crescent, Oregon; was about twenty five years of age, and highly re spected in the community. She had many friends in Bend who are greatly shocked by the tragic death. It is believed that domestic troubles were entirely responsible for her action.
