Tax Paying Time Last week a well known catalogue house shipped 70,000 pounds of catalogues to Roseburg, Oregon, bv freight, from which point they were mailed out by parcel post to all parts of Oregon. The cata logues were a work of art and cost anywhere from 75 cents to $1.75 each to deliver to the customers. They weighed approximately two pounds each, and in the one ship ment above mentioned there were more than 35.000 catalogues, the cost of which delivered to the cus tomers would total some $40,000. This amount represents a part of the profits these people realize from the sales made in communities just like this one throughout the state, ; which profit belongs to the local merchant. Have you paid yourj catalogue assessment yet? It is a tax that leaves Crook county never to return. It contributes not one cent to the road, school or other funds of the county. Can we af ford it?
