Tho boys held a meeting last week
to decide on ollicers for manage
ment of the track meet this spring

The Basket Ball had very little
opposition in the came with Mad
ras last Friday evening. The
eighteen points which Madras made
were made by Galloway one of the
town players, and not a high school
student. The final score was (58 to
18 in favor of C. C. II. S.
Tho game Saturday evening was
one that caused considerable amuse
ment. Tho C. C. II. S. were ablo to
make baskets almost at will from
the Redmond town team. The last
few minutes James King was put
in at forward and Earnt'Ht Russell
at center. These two boys being
in size, the Mutt and Jeff of the
team caused considerable laughter.
Next Saturday evening the C C
H. S. vs. the Lamonta team. This
no doubt will be a very close game
as the Lamonta team is made up of
Borne of the old II. S. stars. The
Lamonta line up is as follows:

Model classen aro formed each day
for practice teaching In tho ad
vanced subjects. The Senior girls
have completed their observation
work and have begun tho required
review of the grammar school sub
jects. They aro doing more work
than tho school law requires in the
way of elementary training but tlie
price of their extra efforts will be
efficiency.

Mr. Shouse Is a thorough educator
and the Normal girls are planning
to have him give them some sug-
gestions on teaching during the
spring session as they feel he is
qualified by experience to give them
valuable help.
Abbio Wilson a former student
has started to school. She is taking
Normal course.

buy horses.
Mrs. J. M. Hayes has been very
sick but is much belter at this
writing.
Mrs. Gunter and baby spent
Tuesday niRbt with Mrs. Norton
while Mr. Ciun'er went to Prine-
vi 11a to consult a physician about
his srrn which bad been troubling
him for some time. He found it
to be infected with blood poison.
Under the care of Dr. Newsom it
is improving as fast as could be
expected.
Mr. and Mrs. McLean were
transacting business at Post Satur
day. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Gray spent
one day last week at the Newsom
ranch.
, C. R. Henry and Art Lane of
the Henry sawmill went up to the
Henry ranch Wednesday to butcher
hogs.
Ray Smith visited with the
Robert Demaris family the last of
the week.
Mrs. Robert Demaris will teach
a three months' term of school in
the new school district, No. 101.
Mi, and Mrs. McLean and
daughter took dinner with Miss
Pratt Sunday. '
J. P. Monroe went to Prineville
Thursday on business.
Mesdames Demaris and Abbott
called on Mrs. Norton Sunday.
Mrs. Gillenwater spent the day
with her mother on the 24th.
The Henry sawmill is running a
full crew of loggers this winter.
The indications are that a million
feet of lumber will be required to
supply the demand the coming
season and Mr. Henry expecta to
have the required amount of logs
in before the snow is gone.
Mr. Harrison made several trips
with the truck this week to Post
with freight for the store.
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Smead and
C. L. Patterson spent Sunday even
ing with Mr. and Mrs. Norton.
