Presbyterian Supper a Success, The supper given by the Presby terian Ladies' Aid at the Oregon Grill Tuesday evening was a splendid success. The Indies served over 150 people and the young ladies sold about tlO worth of candy. If the supper had not been bo good and ilie ladies so liberal in their serving the young women with their tempt ing wares would have had a better opportunity to dispose of the delicious home-made candy. Orders were issued today by Secretary Lane opening to homestead entry more than 500,000 acres of Western public lands which have been determined to be non-irrigable. After January 11, 1915, the lands may be taken up in tracts of 320 acres each under the mm enlarged homestead act. More than 300,000 acres of the property is in Central and Eastern Oregon, in Wasco, Crook and Grant counties.
