NEW GOLF CLUB.
Th Wlnnetka Course, Near Chicago,
Nearing Completion.
..A new outlet for the enthusiasm of
north shore (Chicago) golfers will be
afforded next season. Vice President
Robert Stevenson, Jr., has announced
that the scenic course of the Wlnnetka
Country club, lying midway between
Eenllworth and Wlnnetka, will be
completed and thrown open for play
on July L This Is a welcome addition
to the list of popular links bordering
the lake on the north side because of
the congested conditions that prevail
ed last season, when overflow member
ship rosters prevailed.
Directors of the new Wlnnetka chib
are already forming plans for their
formal bow in Chicago golfing circles
in July. President Douglas Smith has
recommended that an invitation tour
nament be staged from the 1st to the
4th, together with several special
events for women golfers and the
usual holiday attractions on July 4.
