home in Seattle a few days ago. It
is his intention to return to his
claim in the spring as he has a large
field plowed ready to seed.

longer Miss, but brought back a

II. Bunn made two trips to Red
mond lately for freight and supplies.
Mrs. George Taylor's mother and
brother of Prineville have been
visiting her on Bear creek.
Mart Trenne spent a few days in
the county seat last week.

Ada Mitchell spent a pleasant
week-end at Marie Braden's.
Omar Cyrus and family and Miss
Geyer were visitors at the H. F.
Mitchell home Sunday.
Irwin, Elsa and Frank Grant
were visiting at the Black home
Sunday.
The Lamonta boys are busy
practicing football for the coming
game with Madras Thanksgiving.
The! rabbit drive north of La
monta was not a success last Sun
day, owing to bad management. It
is hoped it will be better next Sun
day for people from The Dalles and
Portland will be there Nov. 23
There will also be a drive south of
Lamonta near the Divide. Every
one come.
Every farmer is busy putting in
his fall grain. Part of the grain is
coming up and looking fine.
