Marahfleld. Miss Viola Lattln, a 16
year old South Inlet girl, died sudden
ly at the home of her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Milton Lattln, of ptomaine poi
soning. She was taken 111 after eating
some green ponchos. . Other members
of the family were also uffocted, but
recovered.

While nearly 4000 feet in the air, a
monoplane driven by W. C. Uobluson,
of Chicago, caught fire when a fuse
on the engine blew out. Robinson ex
tinguished the flames with a band ex
tinguisher while descending, and
reached the ground safely.
Surrogate Cohalan, of New York has

commission at San Francisco to Inves
tigate the administration of Chief of
