Roseburg lodge of Elks wants the
national home to be built by that or
der located In Roseburg, and has adop
ted resolutions setting forth the dim
atio and other advantages existing
there which make Roseburg an Ideal
site for the home. The resolution will
be forwarded to the committee to
which the matter of selecting a loca
tion waa referred at the last annual

a band of robbers secured $72,000 In
bills of large denominations and miss
ed $3,000,000 more In cash.
The robbery, which was committed
more than two montha ago, Just be

the crime and the directors of the
bank, the name of which has not been
revealed, have made up the loss from
thel. pergonal resources. News of the
robbery was withheld from police and
newapapers because the directors
foared a run on the bank.
The robbery was committed during
a week end holiday, but the drilling
through the floor of the vault must
have occupied such time as the rob
bers could devote to It for two or
three weeks.
