County court members have doclded
to oppose any attempt to call the pro
posed recall election. They will file
an Injunction restraining Clerk Angle
from ordering the election on the
ground that the recall law Is not op
erative In Oregon, a point which has
been raised by District Attorney Cam
eron, of Portland, and which is now
pending a decision In the Oregon su
preme court.
I Union High School Wanted.
- Eugene. A petition haa been filed
with the county school superintendent
asking that a special election be call
ad to determine the question of estab
lishing union high school district,
with the union high sohool to be erect
ed at Lowell. Nine school districts
re to be Included in the high school
district. This will make the ninth
Union high school for Lane county.
Albany Demands Aro Light.
1 Albany. All railroads running
through this city will be required to
place an aro light at the corner of
every street over which their lines
pass within the city limits, according
to an ordinance which has been pass
ad by the council.

ended the strike at the London dock
which started la May and has caused
about 50,000 dock workers and their

In clash with striking miner In

Baldwin agency and three miner
were killed by the dynamiting of
Baldwin machine gun, according to re

minimum wage scales for women
