The Fourth of July picnic
which took place at Steams' dam
was a great success. People,
from both Dry creek and Powell i
Butte turned out In large num
bers and about one hundred per
sons were present. J
The day started with an excel-'
lent literary program, which In-)
eluded recitations, songs, and a
dialogue, after which a bountiful!
dinner was served. About half-1
