Alaska for good. lie still has

Married In this city March
22, at the office of Justice of the
Peace Kennedy, Fred Frisby and
Miss Bessie Jones, both of this
county. They are making their
home at Powell Butte, and left
immediately for that place.
April 9 is the last day to regis
ter for the primaries. About 2000
have registered up to this time.
The couhty clerk think the total
county registration will reach 2200.
The qualified elector to date is
200 above any former record.
Harry II. Coloid, who has been
buying cattle for the S. & S. Co. ol
Portland for the past two years,
has accepted a position with Kid
well & Caswell, livestock commis
sion merchant. Mr. Coloid is
well known throughout Crook
county.
Prineville people who have re
cently visited Sisters report that
town as one ol the busiest' places
in the county. There are three
store buildings going up besides a
number of dwellings. Last week
a new sawmill started up giving
employment to 20 men.

Reports from all section cf
Crook county indicate that crop
prospects were never brighter for
this season of the year. Double
the usual amount ol moisture has
been obtained and farmers have
improved eveVy minute to get their
land in a tillable condition. The
cultivated area of the county will
be more than doubled and with
bountiful harvests the prosperity
of this section 6liould be unexampled.
