Stanton Mack of Ashwood got
a bud Jolt from his homo a couple
of weeks ago but thoiiKht noth

William Morse and Mil Lot la
Smith were married last evening
at the home of the bride's parents
in I'rineville. Hev. Williams of
the M. K. Church, ofliciated.
The young couple slipped one
over on their friends. The wed
ding was formally announced to
take plsce this evening but the
bridegroom Rot wind of a plat to
give him a prolonged sleighlide in
the country and so anticipated the
happy event by one day.
The bride is the only daughter
of Colonel V. Smith, a wealthy
pioneer of ( rook county. The
grootn is the popular young book
keeper of C. W. Klkins. The
young couple have hosts of friends
that join whh the Journal in wish
ing them the best of weather dur
ing tbeir matrimonial voyage.
The school census gives a total
of 3015 persons of school age re
siding in Crook county. Male.
1547; female, 14CH. The total for
1910 was 2424, a gain for 1911 of
591.

on the piano. There is nothing
you can give that aould be more
appreciated by . the contestants.

the tiling in the new Crook County
1-ank building, (ieo V. Ake has
charge of the work and he cer
tainly knows his business. He is
the tame man that had charge of
the floor work for the First Na
tional. The tiling used is s 2-inch white
vitrous non-absorbent kind that
will always keep its color and last
practically for ever. The vestibule,
lobby and toilet will be tiled. A
beautiful Verd antique marble
counter will divide the lobby fiom
the accounting department. This
marble comes from Vermont and
has a dark rich green effect. An
eight-inch marble base of the same
material will run clear around the
lobby and vestibule. This marble
harmonizes with the green, white
