Miss Eftie Adams, a prominent young lady of Culver, was visit ine with friends in this city for a few day this week. The timber haB been ordered for the wagon bridge across the Ochoco on East E street. Work will cotr. mence as soon as it arrives. The contract has been let for the sidewalk from First to Third on K street. This walk will be put down in time to accommodate the school children in the new building. Mr. Delore presented a petition for a sidewalk on the north aide. As it lacked a majority of sign- atuee of the property owners af fected,' the council returned it to the circulator. The matter of collecting the water rent was taken up and the attention of the marshel was direct ed to same. He was also instruct ed to collect for lumber sold by the city.
