Returning to Lakeview the party will go north to Paisley, where considerable difficulty has been encountered in sfcuring the reclamation of a 12,000-acre pro ject under the Carey Act. From there they will go to La Pine at the head of the Deschutes Itiver to examine progress on a 31,000-acre project of the Deschutes Land Company, where the party expects to find steam shovels at work and general activity appar ent. From this point they will go to Bend and over the work of the Central Oregon Development Com pany, which has taken over the old Deschutes Irrigation & Power Company. The Desert Land Board has just approved the sale of 63 tracts of land in that section, aggregating 34G5 acres, the liens on which amount to .f 88, 182. It is probably the party will return di rectly to Salem from Bend, com ing over the new railroad.
