Mitchell Dead. Word was received in I'rineville today from Bend that Rev. Mit chell was dead. He had got back from a trip to Portland where he had been to see some Shakespearean plays. On his return home be suffered a severe attack of his old complaint stomach trouble and a neigh bor was secured to. stay with bim on his homestead above Bend. It was while the neighbor was away Wednesday that he died some time between 8 and 10 o'clock. Mr. Mitchell was about C5 years of age. At 17 he joined the army and took part in the struggle be tween the North and the South. After the war he went to Europe to complete bis studies. For thirty years Mr. Mitchell has preached west of the Roclcies.
