Councilman Ward offered some
good suggestions for the better
ment of the city.
The old city water supply came
in for much criticism. It costs
more to keep up the gravity
method than the city get out of it.
There was considerable discus
sion concerning the exteusion of
the fire limits. The fire bounda
ries have Wen changed so much,
twisted and contracted to suit
every occasion so that now tuey
are nearly obliterated. The pro
posed change will take in two
blinks north of the Ochoco and j
will lie extended in other direc
tions. An ordinance will be
drafted to cover the new area.
Councilmen l.ippinan and Ward
will have charge of the matter.
Officer Weston was instructed to
kep hand trucks off the sidewalk.
Night watchman Yancef re
ported one arrest for the month of
May.
