Tlio new wool clip is beginning
to move iu tho West, but In a
very alow way, says tho Oregon
inn. Thero hits been very little
trading yet In Oregon, but in
other Western states a few mil
lion pounds have been takon by
Eastern buyers. There is no
snap to tho market, bocuuso of
tho low prices current, and In
this stale neither tho buyers nor
tho sellers seem anxious to take

Tho following is a revised list
oMlio dates fixed for tho sealed

Pilot Rock, May 20, Juno 10.
, Echo, May 21.
Heppnor, June 1, 22.
Shaniko, Juno 0, 27.
Madras. Juno 24, July 14.
Valo, Juno 13.
Ontario, Juno 14.
Baker, Juno 10.
Enterprise and Wallowa coun

A feature of tho market this

180,000 pounds ot early shorn
Eastern Washington wool have
boon forwarded to Boston by tho
water route.

unless Bufllcient bonds or secur

cost of work on tho project," de
clared State Troasurer Kay last
week.
"The Board intends to protect
the sottlers in the fulnre. Many
of those projocts to provide stor
age reservoirs, dams and other
works are expensive and it has
been the habit of some of them
to spend tho sottlers' uionoy in
developing the projects. For in

proves a failure and the settlers
are losors. .But it will not hap
pen again. The new Board has
as yet granted no applications
for development projects, but
when it does hereafter will work
on this new policy."
The state treasurer said that
the Columbia Southern project
iu Crook county has a leuse of

that time it will bo cancelled by
the Board.
