The machinery of the Prineville
Steam Laundry was moved to Red
mond this week. The laundry has
had a checkered career since it was
started by Mr. Orater three year
ago. A good laundry with up-to-date
equipment would be a paying
investment in Prineville. Port
land and The Dalles have been
getting most of the work from this
place.
Ora Van Tassel, secretary and
manager of the Vanora Townsite
Co., is in Prineville today on busi
nef. Mr. Van Tassel' company
is furnishing water to the farmer
of Agency Plains who haul it
by wagorj over the new grade, and
also to the town. They have a 9
horse power engine that can raise
3000 gallons an hour.

first month's experiment of keep
ing bachelor's hall and it has been
very satisfactory. The member
ship is composed of George Newell,
