Fa.t Basket Ball Game.
One ol the fastest and most In
teresting basket ball games ever
played In I'rlnevllle waa played last
night at the club hall between the
Fine Halm and the Itough Necks,
each team representing a table at
the lickett boarding house. The
Fine Malm won the game by a score of
eighteen to eleven. At no stage was
the game slow or uninteresting.
An oyster supper will be given by
the losing team. The Fine Hulrs
were: It. L. Urewster, A. K. Bowman,
Max Holer, W. U. Morse, Mr. Pollard
and Sam Price. Hough Necks Geo.

I. Michel, who had been suffering
from vurlouseotnpllcatlon of disease
for several weeks, died at his home
In this city Tuesday at 9M a. m.
He was 6:1 yenm of age. '
Some three months ago, Mr. Michel
sent Sunday at the II. Ulbson fruit
ranch and after returning Irom the
Sunday trip, complained of feeling
sick. A doctor was called on Tiles
day und t lie rase was found to becrlt
cal. Mr. Michel was advised to leave
filestore and take medical treatment,
which he did.
After severel days he was con
sidered almost lieyond recovery.
However, Dr. Kd wards took him to
Shnnlko In his auto and from there
he was taken by train to The Dalles
Hospital, where he was much Im
proved. He returned to Prlnevllle and took
up hi duties again at the store but
was soon compelled to call medical
aid and this time his ailment wi
pronounced typhoid, which was
later complicated by bronchn! ali
ments. The body was shlp'ed to Portland
tor burial, leaving I'rlnevllle Yester
day morning.

family.
Mr. Michel .came to Prlnevllle
nine years ago for his wife's
health. He engaged In buslntss
with his brother-in-law, Mr. Rlsser,
Later J. E. Stewart bought Mr.
Rlsser's share ol the business and a
few years later Sir. Stewart bought
Mr. Michel's Interest. A short time
afterward The J-eader was opened,
which bus prospered Irom the
start.
Mr. Michel was a member of the
local Masonic order and has always
lieen a man ol Influence and standing
lu the community. He leaves a wid
dow and two sons. Sylvan and
Arthur, aged twelve and fourteen
respectfully. '
