structure whatever. The constituent
cannot be discerned from the other.
They ar completely merged. To dis
tinguish such a combination beside
tbe term true alloy the term solid solu
tlon Is also used, such alloys being
analogous to compositions of nutter,
shows that the harder tbe ground and
the more difficult It Is to work the
more earnestly a machine of tbis class
Is desired.
This entirely new, unique and prac
tical engine driven apparatus Is a most
remarkable device in Its simplicity,
and owing to Its wide range of uses
as a labor saver It stands unsurpassed.

tric cell really containing a liquid or
paste whose drying out a on stand
ing on a shelf destroys tbe usefulness

Turpentine In Cutting Oil.
When cutting steel or wrought iron
In a Intbe. milling machine, drill press
or planer It Is sometimes necessary to
leave a smooth surface. Oil or various
cutting compounds of oil are used for
this purpose and to keep the surface
cool. If a little turpentine Is added to
the oil It will greatly assist In leaving
a smooth surface. A proportion of
one-quarter turpentine is good.
