Presently the carriage drew back

"XX'bat's the matter?" queried the
bridegroom of the coachman.
"Horse thrown a shoe, sir," said th

The bride clutched her husband's

she said, "Is It possible that eren the

general public, the sate of lots an J especially the railroad develop

to protect their own interests, must almost immediately advance the price ol lots.

What is Doing at Culver?
The machinery is on the ground and work bep.un on the well which is to

Practical tests ol avaiLblc material are Winy made preliminary to the
establishment ol a brick manufacturing plant in Culver.
The Fostollice Department has issued orders lor the old Culver postoflire to
be moved to the new town on the railroad.
As soon as material ran be secured lor the purpose a number ol business
buildings are to be erected in Culver lor the housing ol various industrial enter

now. The new railroad plat ol Culver Junction shows lour tracks through the
town one main line Ixvo long sidings and an industrial track lacing the
warehouse site which are laid out by the railroad company and extend from the
junction point entirely through the toxvnsite.
Besides being the junction of the Hill and Ilarriman main lines Culver will

remote period. : We are not prepared to" sl.ile il this road will lie an electric line
built by Prineville capital and maintained by the power company, which owns the

design on this splendid route to Prineville. but tint this line will surely be built xve
are reasonably certain.
In the meantime Culver is the distributing point lor Prineville and other
