team became frightened and ran
away dragging Mr. Cook by the arm

road. This Is a direct road
that Is being built to shorten the
distance between these two points
and also, avoid the river bottom
where the roads get almost Impass
able at times.
K. D. Huston of Ashwood was In
Prineville Saturday. Mr. Huston
says that crops are looking fine In
his part of the country. Fruit out
his way has not been damaged by
frosts and a good crop Is practically
assured. This has been a great
lambing year, says Mr. Huetou.
Conditions were Just right.. There
will bo at least a 100 percent Increase.
Sheep shearing will begin about the
middle of the month. This Is going
to be a great year for Central Oregon.

have been chosen delegates to the

Miss Mattie Wilson has given up
her Job at Hotel Prineville to accept
a life partnership In a home of her

stand the happy event will take

of Oregon, will deliver the address
to the graduating class of the Crook
County High School Friday evening
May 20. The exercises will be held
at the Club Hall to which everyone
is Invited.
