Ed Kutcher, Pioneer
Dies in Prineville
EJ Kutcher, one of the best
known residents of the county, and
a pioneer settler, died in rrineville,
Wednesday, March 24. 19C9, ol
heart disease. Mr. Kutcher was
brought to the city from his home
at Haycreek on Monday to receive
medical care, and grew rapidly
worse, his death occuricg at the
Hotel Prineville.
Deceased was about 65 years old.
He was an Englishman by birth
aid hid aerved in both the English
and American navies, having been
around the world four times. He
had traveled extensively in all
parts of the world and could relate
in a most interesting manner ex
periences and scenes encountered
on bis travels.
Mr. Kutcher was made a Mason
in Erance, but had transferred his
membership to the Prineville
Lodge. He was also a member of
the local chapter of the Order of
the Eastern Star. The remains
were taken in charge by the
Masonic lodge and the funeral will
occur Friday under their auspices,
with burial in the Prineville ceme
tery. Mr. Kutcher had lived in this
county for the past thirty years or
more, making his home on Willow
ureeK ana ai naycreeK. ue was
ever known as a good citizen and
upright man. Kutcher precinct
(Madras) was named in his honor.
Of immediate relatives he leaves
a sister, Mrs. Brown, of Haycreek,
to mourn his death. Many life
long friends will sincerely regret
to learn ol his demise.
Strayed.
Two Rvldinjrs, eight and nine years
old; one light and oue dark bay;
both had on new lml tern; weight

Saturday evening, March 20. and
were tracked Sunday to a point on
the Bear Creek road eight miles
southeast of the Johnson ranch,

Silver Lake road, six miles northeast

meeting to be held at lend on
Saturday, April 10.
