    Financial Report of
Crook Counly Fair
The annual meeting of the stock'
holders of the Ontral Oregon Live
etock ami Agricultural Association
was held Monday. There "was a
good attendance and much interest
was manifested in the affairs of the
association. It was plainly appar
ent that the Crook county fair
would not be permitted to languish
but on the contrary would he
pushed along with renewed vigor.
The following board of directors
was selected by the stockholders:
J. E. Robert, James Rice and II
J. Lister. The president, secretary
and treasurer will be appointed
later by the directors.

the financial condition of the asso

Mrs. Sarah Newbill, one of th
earliest settlers and oldest residents
of this county, died at her horn
near Lamonta about a wees ajro
aged 93 years. The funeral v
held at the house, interment being

The husband cf Mrs. Newbil ran

She has Cf'.een children, of
whom eleven survive. our ol

Nathaniel Newbiil, Casper Xewbill
Robert Xewlil and Mrs. Lt
Moore. Others live in Lane county
and one or two in Washington
Mrs. Newb'ill was a pioneer of
Oregon, crossing the plains at the
same time as didCaptaiu Blakeslee.
