school house every Sunday at 10
a. m. Treachine the fourth Sun
day in each month by Rev. J. K
Craig of Madras.
The first threshing of the season
in this vicinity was done on the
farm of P. Chitwood. The grain is
of usual average and quality. It
will require about 20 days to tinisb
the season s threshing here.
Joe Smith is about to start for
Powell Buttes with his machine to
thresh for Mr. Casey and others in
that neighborhood.
The last crop of alfalfa hay on
the Morrow & Keenan place is
being harvested and stacked.
Sawmills are running full time
at the head of Willow creek.
Joe Quinn's team ran away with
his buggy last week and tore up
both road and rig. . 0

that way.
After quite a short stay with us,
during which she made many farm

Colfax. Wash., this week to work
for a grain company; either office
work, bookkeeping or stenography
We regret that her vacation was so

she leaves much improved in her
health. Word received from her
at Shaniko states that she stood
so much of the trip in fine shape.

out on their place several days this
week doing some clearing.
