In the matter of the petition of Edward H. Lockyear for county road. Petition approved. Viewers and surveyors ordered to meet at beginning of road and view out, sur vey and report on same. In the matter of a county road by E. A. Gillett and others. Petition approved, viewers and surveyors ordered to meet at beginning of road, view out and report on same. The petition of John I. Jones and others for county road was continu ed for proof of posting notices and bond. The remonstrance against the Kirk Whlted road was dismissed as the road had heretofore been allow ed. The proceeding should now be by petition for private change in road. It appearing from the certificate of sheriff that he has remitted to T. J. Ferguson $12.87 as wrongfully as sessed on roll of 1907, the clerk is di rected to credit eheritf on roll of 1907 for said omount. The Dwight Robert road will 1 declared a public highway upon the petitioners complying with the view ers' report. Clerk ordered to draw warrant on general fund in favor of B. S. Cook & Co. for $7.21, being taxes paid on land not owned by them, less social school tax. It appearing from the certificate of sheriff that he has remitted toJ.B Mtuoweu fi.43 as wrongiully as sessed on roll of 1907, the clerk is di rected to credit sheriff on roll of 1907 .with such amount." In the matter of the petition of the Riverside Telephone Co. Pe tition granted and company allow ed to erect polls on outside limits of survey of said roads as mentioned In said petition or either side thereof. It appearing from the certificate of sheriff that he has remitted to H. E. Read $12.15 wrongfully assessed on roll ol 1907, the clerk Is directed to credit sheriff with such amount on roll of 1907. The viewers' report on the Mc Taggart road was approved. The damages claimed was not allowed. Road declared a public highway and ordered opened. Clerk ordered to notify road supervisor thereof. The viewers' report on the G. W. Horner road was approved and road declared a public highway. The quit claim deed from the Lald- law Townsite Co. to bridgv acros the IVschutea river on said road was accepted and ordered placed on record. The viewers' report on Fred lavl road was approved. Road declared a public highway and ordered oou ed Clerk ordered to notify nmd supervisor thereof and also of an agreeiueut of I. l Brown to build fence. Tlw viewers report on the Frank Galloway road wiw approved. Road declared a public highway and ordered opened. Clerk directed to notify road supervisor thereof. Viewers report ou M. Brown road approved. Road declared a public highway and ordered opened. The viewers reuort on the C. I). Swanson road was approved. Road, declared a public highway and or dered opened. The viewers' report for a private change In the Long Hollow road was approved. Road was declared a public highway upon proof W'lng made as required by law. Clerk di rected no notify road supervisor of this change in the road. The road master's report was aw proved and ckrk ordered to draw warant on road fund In favor of road master tor $3000 to be account ed for at next term. The bid for prtuting the election ballots by Journal and Review was accepted. It appearing from the certificate of the sheriff that he has remitted to Polk Mays the sum of $40.10 ou roll of 1906 as wrongfully assessed, the clerk is ordered to credit the sheriff with such amount on roll of 1906. The clerk was also directed to credit sheriff with $52.50 for wrongful as sessment of Polk Mays on roll of 1907. The petition of Gonser & Geer for liquor license was approved. Clerk ordered to Issue license for six months from May 6, liKXS, upon filing receipt for $200. In the matter of the petition for a liquor license by C. J. Green. There being no bond filed or offered the petition was denied. The petition of Frank Glass and others for road was approved. Viewers and surveyors ordered to meet at beginning of road, view out, survey and report to the court. The offer of C, L. Shattuck to wire new court house at actual cose of material for electricity, and for act ual time employed In Installing same is accepted, and such work is to be under the supervision of J. B. Shipp. Special term of the county court convened March 28, 190S to consider bids to complete new court, house. Two bids were received from Chas. A. Gray, two from John B. Shipp one by C. C. Mceely and one by James W. Wright. Court adjourned until April 11 for the further con sideration of the bids. April 11, 3 p. m. Court met as per adjournment. Present Judge Bell, Commissioners Bailey and Stearns. At this time the bid of John B. Shipp for an all-stouej superstructure for court house anil remodeling of basement for $57,000 was accepted, and all other bids rejected. J. B, Shipp to furnish a bond in the sum of $15,000. Bond of J. B. Shipp ap proved. The bids of C. C. MeN'eeley and H W Carlin, James W. Wright rejected as they are defaulting contractors and un able to give bonds. Bid of Chas. A. Gray was too high. Clerk is directed to draw warrants upon the general fund to meet the payments as they fall due upon the contract of John B.
