evening from Shaniko in an auto
mobile, being on their way to the
irrigated region about Redmond
and Rend. The party drove out of
Prinevillu in livery rig, the auto
following later. While no infor
mation of a definite nature could
be glenned from the party, it is in
timated that a reorganization
movement is on foot in the com
pany, and that additional capital
is ia to le interested in the recla
mation work of tho company.

vice will be "The Saloon and it

Mr, and Mra. J. II. Reckley pass
ed through I'rineville last Friday
from their cattle ranch on upper
Crooked river, on their way to
Portland where they will reside
until next July. They were ac
companied by two of Mr. Reck
ley' brother who have been visit-'
ing at the ranch. Mr. Beckley U j
running about 700 head of cattle
in the upper Crooked river region

James Rice, vice president of the

of the company's thoroughbred
English Shire stallion. The horse
will be kept for aervice at the
Hamilton Stable in Prineville
during the next month. Thia big
shire is four year old and ia one
of the herd imported from the es
tate of the famous Peter Stubbs, of
Ulos, England, by the Haycreek
company.
Mra. Zilpha II ne died laat
Thursday night at ber homestead
10 mile aouth of Prineville, at 10
o'clock at the age of 74 years.
Funeral aervicea were held at the
home Sunday and interment made
in the Odd Fellows cemetery.
Mra. Hinea bad lived here for 20
year coming to Crook county from
Missouri. She waa the mother of
Mra. John Arnold, who ia the only
near relative who survive ber.
