This project is by far the biggest one of its kind ever completed in Crook county. The finished pipe is 1620 feet long and has an in side diameter of 4 feet 8 inches; the central point of the pipe is 40 feet lower than the ends. The body of the pipe is built up of staves about six inches in width each one being several feet long. They are put together in such a manner that the joints are made some distance apart, preventing any weak part. The side of each of the staves contained a small groove around the pipe at regular intervals, making the construction complete. Mr. Red field says that it has leaked very little from the time it was completed and is work ing perfectly. About thirty-five men are in camp three miles north of the flu me, where construction is being carried on regardless of the wea ther. As soon as spring opens this crew will be doubled and work rushed on all of the com pany's project. R Real Estate Transfers George W. Tickel and wile to H.
