In the matter of the petition of Dwight Roberto for a county road. Surveyor and viewers ordered to meet at the beginning of road, urvey, view out and report on tame. The request of the Crook County Journal for renewal of contract waa accepted with the understand ing that all proceedings of the court to be published in full in one issue and the issue next following the adjournment of court. A petition for a county road by Fred Wiese was received. The clerk ordered to notify surveyor and viewer, to meet at beginning of road, survey, view out and report. In the matter of the wrongful assessment of R. A. Merchant for the year 1906. Certificate of sheriff showing that he remitted $2.68 to R. A. Merchant, wrong fully assessed on roll of 1906, clerk orderod to credit sheriff with said amount on roll of 1906. The surveyor's and viewers re port on the Richard King road was read the first and second time and continued until February 12, 1908, at 10 a. m. The surveyor's and viewers re port on the R. Wilkinson road was received and approved and the same declared a public high way. The clerk was otdered to give the road supervisor the re quired notice. The petition for a liquor license by M. L. Loucks was granted for one year from January 1, 1908, upon filing the county treasurer's receipt for $400. Two hundred names were drawn on the jury list for 1908. The request of Frank Elkins that county pay one-half of prem ium on bond of National Surety Co. as tax collector, that ha will pay the other half, said bonds end ing July, 1908, was accepted. Earl McLaughlin waa appointed road master for 1908, and have bond for approval February 12, 1908. Salary same as 1907. In the matter of the contract and bond for the Newsom Creek bridge across Crooked river, near the Wigle and Forest bridge- clerk ordered to notify in writing Ed Harbin, principal, and Will Wursweiler and Geo Meyers, sure ties, to show cause why contract of June 2, 1906, and bond therefor, should not be declared forfeited for failure to carry out contract and that the court will hear same February 12, 1908, at 10 a m. The clerk was ordered to notify w F King to file an additional bond of $60,000 for approval Feb ruary 12, 1908. Notice of the completion of the basement of the new court house having been made, the same will be inspected by the court Febru ary, 12, 1908. The contractors gave notice that they were nnable to carry out contract or enter into contract for superstructure in writing at this time, and the con tract and bond of said contractors, as to failure to enter into a con tract for such superstructure of new court house, is hereby de clared forfeited. In the matter of the basement and foundation of the new court house, contracted for by wright & McNeely, January 12, 1907, the same is referred to J B Shipp for inspection and report to the court February 12, 1908. It is ordered that bids be ad vertised for putting ap the super structure of the new ceurt house. Said notice to be published in the Crook County journal and Port land Oregonian for four weeks. Court adjourned until February 12, 1908 at 10 a m.
