aniatcura in our city, the applause
was not as generously given as the
play merited. This ia a mistake.
Young talent is easily discouraged
and ahould receive from all kindly
tieatment, especially when it ia of
the high character shown at thew
performances, otherwise some will
discontinue work in that line and
the community will thereby le the
loser. All superior reader and sing
ers had to make a start some time
and it was probably a little encour
agement which led them to take up
and persist in the cultivation of
talent which now proves of so
much pleasure to the world
There ia much budoing talent in
Prineville for which encourage
ment will do much. We hope our
yourig people will continue their
work and before the winter is over
furnish us with auch another good
treat.
