Walt Henrlchs of Crook county,
bou of J. Henrlchs, who has been so
journing here for several weeks is
getting ready to pull out for the hop
fields of the Willamette valley. As I
write this paragraph, Walt Is eating
at the lunch counter of the little
white store while his horses are feed
ing on the outside. And as Hook at
hliu I see character and originality.
He wears the honors of a cow boy
gracefully. His wide sombrano, his
curly "snaps" with Jingling spurs on
his heels, bespeak the typical cow
boy style. His saddle and pack
horse know his call and I almost
envy him his free wild life In the
open. He Is strong of limb, fearless
bordering almost onto recklessness,
yet kind of heart, perfect In stature
with the best part of life in the front
he does not as yet look back. He
starts today through the Cascade
range and he will get there, Odell
