and completely destroying the

cities of the state also suffered
Heverely, but not n much.
Many lost their all, but un
daunted by this the business men
of the city are now devising plana
for rebuilding, ample capital has
been assured and plana made to
make the future San Francisco the
world's most beautiful city.
While the site of the city stands
it will be rebuilt, and will become
a greater city than ever. It, will,
however, be a tremendous work
and will take a long time.

ORCHESTRA ENTERTAINMENT.
Poindexter Hotel.
On Sunday, April 1'ihli, the Poin
dexter Hotel, of Prineviile, will in
stall an orchestra of four high class
musicians in their dining room to
furnish music during the dinner,
hour U:3(l to l:'M p. m.
Mr. 1 C. M. Stroud, the popular
proprietor of this up-to-date house
has secured this orchestra for the
entertainment of his guests during
the dinner hour, anil promises one
of the best dlnnera ever placed before
the people of Prineviile and vicinity.
On this occasion a Schumann
piano, one of the tines t makes sold
by Filers Piano House will be used
by the orchestra. H. F. Scott is
their traveling representative, with
headquarters at the Poindexter
Hotel.
At the coming June election the
question will be before us as to
