Frank Johnson, the lioston wool
buyer, had purchased from Mile Iee
and signed the contract In writing,
the latter's wool clip for l'JWl, from
the backs of 10,000 sheep at Ti cent
a pound paying 9jo0 cash to bind
the option. Ho far as wool men
know this Is the earliest and highest
priced option ever taken on a future
wool slock In this county. What It
means is difficult to figurcout. Wool
has lseu considered high at 10 to 10
ceut and growers have Inrn making
fortune during the last two years.
There are those who believe that
there Is a great shortage coming In
foreign wool, and that the American
product will be at a tremendous
premium. Mr. Johnson himself oftera
no Information other than signing
the contract as nltove and paying

court house last Saturday afternoon
to hold the annual meeting of that
organisation. Different phase of
the range question were brought up
and discussed and many letters.

dealing with proposed new laws and
state organisations, were read and
commented upon. A. S. Ireland, the
local forest supervisor, atteuded the
meeting and made clear some points
relative to graxlng stock In the for
est reserves. At the coucluslon of
the afternoon's business tbe follow
ing officers were elected for the en
suing year: Ocorge Mllllcan, presi
dent; K. T. Slayton," vice president;
C. C. Dunham, secretary; A. L. Wlgle,
treasurer. The executive committee
is composed of the above named
officers and James Montgomery and
George W. Noble. - '
