wreck, which developed into an
abscess and required a surgical
operation, which was successfully
performed at the St. Vincent Hos
pital, in Indianapolis, aftor which
he was carried to the train and
taken to Washington. He is doing
nicely from last reports and the j
doctors declare mm to be out of
danger.

another operation on President
Roosevelt's leg Sunday. The bone
was affected and the surgeons had
to open the wound again in order
to relieve the trouble. Need for it
was indicated by rising tempera
ture. The doctors say it is not
serious and recovery will come
