A letter has been received by
Philip S. Bales, who has been ap
pointed a delegate from the Cham
ber of Commerce to the Interna
tional Mining Congress to bo held
at liutte, September 1-5, asking
what exhibit Oregon would make
at the congress, says the Oregonian.
The letter will be oonsidered by
the Chamber of Commerce at its
meeting tomorrow, and some action
may be taken. The letter received
by Mr. Bates was as follows:
"1 have just received ofliciul no
tice from Governor F. W. Hunt, of
Boise, Idaho, that they are prepar
ing and will send forward in a few
days under the care of the Hon. J.
A. Lippincott, state senator, a fine
display of the minerals from tht
state. What is Oregon going to
do? Pleas let me know at once.
