Charles Vandervert, a highly re
spected citijen of this county was killed
near John O'Kelly's p!a3e on Blizzard
Ridgo in the northern part of the
county last Thursday afternoon, by
being thrown from and run over by a
wagon loaded with lumber which he
was hauling onto tho Agency plains
for some homesteaders. The remains
were brought here and intered in the
Masonic cemetery Sunday. Charier,

at Cottage Grove, Line county
and came to this county with his par
ents in 18H4. He was married to
Miss Margaret Whipple June 24 1S98.
He leaves a wile, two children, father,
three brothers and many fiiends to
mourn his untimely end.
