' There was a surprise party given on Lester Cobra hut Tuesday eve ning. A numler of guests were invited and after a joyful evening was spent they departed for their homes. 'y ; In the written tests for last month Lora Stearns received 100 per cent in all her studies except one, and on this she received 99 per cent. Nora Stearns received 100 per cent on six studies and 99 per cent on two. Sammie Newsome received 100 on five (studies, 98 percent on one and on another he received 97 per cent. In the V grade the pupils that ranked from one to ten in the writ ten examination were: Lora St' arns Nora Stearn, Ceole Smith, Valda Barnes, Hattie Bostwick, Lennie Foster, Sammie Newborn, Roy Fes ter, Edgar Barnes and Walter Mc Farland. In the VI grade were: Aleatha Dillon, Georgia Hodges, Stella Hodges, Verna Howard, Bdiilah Hyde, Pearl McFarland, Anna Salomon, Stella Young, Celia Nelms, Klwood Draper, Lester Cohrs, Sichel Hinkle and Charles Summers.
