John Hizemorc, of !end, was visiting among IiIh friend in this vicinity a few days last week, Mr and MrsC B Allen have gone to Dridge creek for their winter nudy of fruit. In a recent visit to the fruit portion of Lake county, we were surprised at tho fruit and grain yield. From a ten nere field of barley wo were informed that Ralph Fouler had harvested 1073 hushcls, but tho yield wan not ho great thii year. We brought homo a limb from a plumb tree on the farm of Mr. Fo4er that had 3,000 plums on it. They were not large or well develoed hut were quite a curi osity. Mr. and Mrs. Norris Morgan have returnen from a few weeks visit with friends and relatives on Beaver creek. Tom Lung was seen recently on the creek. Ho was after Indian horses and was in a hurry as usual. Mrs. T. P.. Price, daughter and Don, started for Albany on the 28 ult. Mrs, Price intends returning in a short time. All the fanners on Camp creek very busy now putting in their fall grain, the soil being in excel lent condition. Joe Street passed through here recently enrouted for Prineville for a load of rye for W. W. Brown. C. T. Boynton came near losing one of his lino horses recently. It was found by Mrs. Boynton in a big mudholo where it had fallen while playing in tho pasture, It was dragged out by the aid of a largo draught horse that, luckily, was in the barn at the time.
