The jury was drawn Wednesday afternoon and in the evening a session of the court wji held at which the attorneys outlined the nature of tho caso and explained to the jury (he import of the testi mony that both proiecution and defense would introduce. Several witnesses weru alto examined that evoning and Thursday wai entirely taken up with the further introduc tion of the slate's evidence. Nearly thirty witnesses had been sub poenaed by the elate but a number of l hem Were not culled to the wit iichh stand.
