A temporary j w grandstand at Sixty-eighth ctreel 1 f and Stewart avenue, built (or the purpose of witnessing the annual fi field day sports of the Chicago. Normal school, collapsed today, in- f juring 25 persons, mostlv women ud children. Several were hurt m seriously, but it is thought none j will die. j The stand whioh was 100 feet ' Jong and seven tiers high, nasi crowded. The program of the day f was fairly under way when, on ac 1 count of the general stamping of, feet in recognition of some mcritori- j ous athletic feature, the supports ; gave nay, precipitating the speota-' tors to the ground.
