Discovery and Vigilance of officers Frus trarvd Jail Delivery. Tacoma, June 1. Several weeks ago the guards at McNeill's peni tentiary discovered that the locks on certain cells had been tampered with. A careful watch was kept, and gradually the plan was unfold ed that culminated in an attempt last night at a wholesale jail de livery. The occupants of cells Nos. 2 and 3, by means of wooden keys, made their escape into the corridor where they lay in wait for the night guard, intending to overpower him, unlock the cells of other prisoners and with their hack saws cut their way to liberty. The two prisoners thus caught were Bruce Kenwright, from Alaska, serving a sentence of 15 years for manslaugher, and James Molarity, sentenced to 10 years for counterfeiting at Spokane. The eight boats fishing at the time were scattered to the four winds, but all save three were accounted for tonight. The missing boats were the Anna Julia, the Messenger Boy and the Knife. There were 15 j men in the three boats. When the J supposed disaster was reported the revenue cuiier rorwaru weni 10 sea and skirted for 30 miles around the light-ship, but came back with the report that not a sign of life or dis abled boat could be seen. Captain Joe Watkins, of the Messenger Boy is the only white skipper supposed to have perished. Oil In Wyoming. Laramie, Wyo., June 1.
