Gregg, of the AME church, and Dr. Henry Allen Boyd, of the National Baptist con vention, addressed Jaxons at two mammoth public mass meetings here last week. Bishop Gregg spoke at the op ening of Founders’ day at Edward Waters college in Lee auditorium, and Dr. Allen was principal speaker at the mass meeting held at Bethel Baptist church. The AM E prelate reviewed his travels overseas where he went as a special church envoy on presidential appointment. The Baptist churchman spoke throughout the Sunday services at Bethel, admonishing his hear ers to “use what we have” and to “ work from your mouths up.” F ilM H iM 8 RHEUMATIC THE MEDLEY HOTEL 2272 N. Stricken with infantile paralysis in August of 1944, just after he had been crowned "Supreme King” of perfect health in a contest for Baltimore > oungsters, young Roger’s case was considered almost hopeless. Parents of the boy took the Polio Emergency i Volunteers training course in polio care, sponsored by the Maryland Chapter of The National Founda tion for Infantile Paralysis, so that they could help Roger in his fight back to health.
