Bailey nam ed a slate of officials to succeed th ese recalled in an election Dec. 15 and to serve u n til another election can be held. ATLANTA (A N P)—Ju d g e E d gar E. Pom eroy has granted the Big B ethel AME church a p eti tion ordering Mrs. Alice Francis, an ex-m em ber of the church, not to occupy the front pew s of the church. The church alleges th a t the w om an had been disorderly d u r ing w orship, th a t she refused to vacate her seat in the front pews, w hich a re reserved for the “d eac onesses” and th a t she has on sev eral occasions caused disturbances am ong the congregation.
