According to Falardeau, it is a way of continuing the tradition of honor- ing the Iris flower. All proceeds go to the Keizer Network of Women (K.N.O.W.) Holiday Giving Basket Program. The program provides gifts, food and support for families during the winter holidays. Last year they aided 305 families, an estimated 1,500 children, funded mainly through raffles and sponsors, according to Falardeau The shotgun start is scheduled for 10 a.m., with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m. n ee t r ze i Ke er h of l ro t on c or f es h c ar e s League openers for McNary baseball and softball rain out BY JOSHUA MANES Of the Keizertimes The Keizer Chamber of Commerce is getting ready to hit the links with the 2022 Bloomin’ Iris Open Golf Tournament, scheduled for Friday, May 13, at McNary Golf Club. The four-person scramble tourna- ment has an ‘80s theme, like most of the Chamber’s events this year in honor of Keizer’s 40th birthday. “Think Caddyshack,” Chamber execu- tive director Corri Falardeau said. There is room for a total of 108 golf- ers, 27 four-person teams, to compete for prizes. Pricing with two carts is $430 per team, $410 with one cart, or $385 for McNary Golf Club members with their own carts. Mulligans are $5, or 8 team mulligans for $40. Vic Backlund Field at McNary High School sits unused with water on the tarp and field Tuesday, April 12, after the league opener against Sprague High was cancelled. o i Y y su r th ac umu t s mle t in n c ch cit t. e PH c ha har sul u e rea she R ov he men ian t n w U re q t ,” e ay f r o n e o a s e e M es s w a ay s e tha am h viro r ip os s e t d N m m t i i th is o o n thin str E ti ow l en a nd m-s ices d c t r R zer has me f e i s g ca e a ea ct n o e U ei w f th o . ne enc lity he e lo hav tr pra s a ay t o t LA e K r nt c s d i i e rw t y, h sa O equ ab fe er By f th eize me es. atel on t not nce of ing ticid ate gge he ns in t li r mill O K lop cad un ll s ina al cap es w Cla , t on o r o c r g e o er isi ve e rt to oe rd ov ds p th pp c c Sa C a de o d nfo en a r d o rem lan of and ct mill Div u s A , tt tw U ak ize s, use , pa ag l , to ged , ge s t e on nt ub k g im S ica . to lag ha “K ecti me shr the azin l eth hn izer ext ana ree ort C ot op d e r al zab Tec f Ke d n ism tt C pp pr evel an volv g m e su li se r e d ees in rs, ion E and ity o lan is lagg to th lle tr at lize cat aid tal e c he it C ble at i se th rti ifi s en th t n as na th agm the to ” k S of er fe od k, nm for is he ch d u in m ree iro er an W , su an th ed, ent ord t C nv ag ar i se. am thy n ' n n n E an ip ur tre eal es ba gem i M R rco r s nh do e ana pen e t a e s o e u b p sh d t m ha w ver m gh oul tha to r i eco u b fe. ho sh ve eds li T gs elie ne in b s th oes itie g d ctiv e ha th b a ls of pro o l o oo ht th f Sch ch lig eal e s h ar lic dle l In tal id ub ta m en ools P en m h er m nd sc eiz ted r l a K r in be hoo p um sc n igh . h 's ID l nc Photo courtesy of KEIZER CHAMBER OF COMMERCE Facebook s de u t nt ID s OUR STORY N s its ha im it ac f s l nd it’ le sa d t a ing a a e t v e s th a s rw de t. no te xc ide s e e men ieve hat wa i c c lan on el t he at “ It esti le g it ba nvir I b tion ct t r th ed p igh nin e “ ep pa be low are l c h ea nd e er t im em a a p o rem lik ct m ial t n , t s a g to ose itie tive ms tan las f bi s bs e th tiv la ee ss e u de m en l ta h l ea th s re Softball (8-3) now has to wait a week to get back on the field to avenge Monday's 6-4 loss to Westview High School which snapped a three-game win streak.
