This is the second annual Bloomin’ Iris
Open, stemming from the KeizerFEST
2.0 Golf Tournament in 2020 after the
regular KeizerFEST tournament couldn’t
be held. According to Falardeau, it is a
way of continuing the tradition of honor-
ing the Iris flower.
All proceeds go to the Keizer Network
of Women (K.N.O.W.) Holiday Giving
Basket Program. The program provides
gifts, food and support for families
during the winter holidays. Last year they
aided 305 families, an estimated 1,500
children, funded mainly through raffles
and sponsors, according to Falardeau
The shotgun start is scheduled for 10
a.m., with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m.

The Keizer Chamber of Commerce is
getting ready to hit the links with the 2022
Bloomin’ Iris Open Golf Tournament,
scheduled for Friday, May 13, at McNary
Golf Club.
The four-person scramble tourna-
ment has an ‘80s theme, like most of the
Chamber’s events this year in honor of
Keizer’s 40th birthday.
“Think Caddyshack,” Chamber execu-
tive director Corri Falardeau said.
There is room for a total of 108 golf-
ers, 27 four-person teams, to compete
for prizes. Pricing with two carts is $430
per team, $410 with one cart, or $385 for
McNary Golf Club members with their
own carts. Mulligans are $5, or 8 team
mulligans for $40.
