Trouble, right here in River City
Keizer will become River City in
September as Keizer Homegrown
Theatre presents The Music Man.
The beloved musical about a con man
in Iowa, trying to sell band uniforms, is
one of the most popular shows in theatre
history.
It is time for the thousands of Keizer
musical veterans to return to the stage in
the all-city production, which will staged
in collaboration with the McNary High
School Performing Art Department.
“We want to involve the entire
community,” said director Linda Baker.
“People can relive their glory days sing-
ing and dancing on the stage.”
The show will be produced in the Ken
Collins Theater at McNary High School.
Auditions will be held in April, with
dates to be announced soon.
Director Linda Baker will be joined
on The Music Man by choreograher Zoe
Banton, of the City Dance Theater and
vocal director Stacia Purdie Rice.
