Ruby Eleanor Jensen
January 8, 1935 –February 25, 2022
Ruby Eleanor Jensen, Keizer, passed
away peacefully on March 4, 2022, her
89th birthday. Ruby is preceded in death
by parents; Rufus and Ruth Boatwright,
brothers; Robert, Edward, Allan and Don
Boatwright; sister Irene Barber Chapman;
and sons James Gene and Scott Andrew.
She is survived by daughter, Teresa
Lee (Terry), three grandchildren; Brion
Lee (Samantha), Samantha Lee, Jayme
Jensen Evans, and several nieces and
nephews.
Ruby
graduated
from
Girls
Polytechnic School, Portland, and went
on to work for the Oregon Department
of Transportation where she worked as
a Systems Analyst retiring after 24 years.
Ruby was an active member of the Keizer
RUBY ELEANOR JENSEN
Elks Lodge for many years as well as the
Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She enjoyed
volunteering for the Meals on Wheels
program and in the office at the Keizer
Police Department. Ruby was an avid
reader, an accomplished seamstress, and
always enjoyed a good time. She loved
her family very much and will be dearly
missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a
later date.
Salem's Enlightened Theatrics will
present All Abilities Camp, a week-
long introduction to theatre through
the lens of individuality, inclusivity,
and imaginatio, beginning March 21.
Specially designed for students
of the neurodiverse population,
this expertly led program will uti-
lize theatre and performance as a
therapeutic device, harnessing the
power of creativity and collabora-
tion to encourage growth and social
wellness.
All Abilities Camp begins Monday,
March 21 and runs to Friday, March
25. Sessions are divided by age group
and multiple sessions are offered
daily with each session running for
approimately an hour and a half.
Attendance is by registration only
and
costs
$75
per
student,
with
scholarship
opportunities
available. They can be purchased at
