obituary
Kathryn Taylor
January 1936 – February 25 2022
Kathryn Taylor of Keizer Oregon,
86, passed peacefully at home and
met Jesus on February 25 2022.
She was born in Hillsboro Oregon
to Fay and Velma Hulit, and grew up
on a dairy farm in Hillsboro named
Morningdew Farms, where she started
her love of animals and gardening.
She graduated from Hillsboro
High School and many years later
worked until retirement for The
State Of Oregon in the Employment
Department.
Following her father’s footsteps,
roses became a passion and she would
show her roses and other flowers
often at the Marion County Fair. She
also loved to sew and quilt, had made
many outfits for rodeo queens and a
countless number of quilts that she
also entered in the county fair. She
had always loved to paint and draw
and even held oil painting classes in
KATHRYN "KAY" TAYLOR
her garage.
Kay is reunited with her loving
husband Robert (Bob) Taylor in
Heaven, and is survived by her
children, Dan and Anne Thompson,
Debi Thompson, her first husband
Leonard Thompson, her daughter
Bry Taylor-Campos and her husband
John Campos. Her grandchildren
Justin Gans, Jenn Johnson, Kyle
Gans, Daniel Thompson and Bristol
Campos. Her big brother Vern Hulit
and little brother George Hulit.
A celebration of Kay will be held
at Keizer Christain Church 3/19/22 at
1:30pm, with a Tea Party to follow.
