While the rally was advertised as being “not political and not anti-mask,” it was widely advertised on the social media pages of groups such as Timber Unity and FreeOregon, an active anti-vaccine and anti-mask group. The collection, illus- trates diff erent fruits and vegetables, along with where they come from. Lorraine Dye is one of the artists featured in the gallery display and has been doing art for years. She took art classes for a few months, but has mostly been self taught. While working a retail job, Dye found her love for art and has been exploring it ever since. “I think that we all have stuff inside of us that we haven't explored. And that was the missing piece in my life,” she said. When it comes to art mediums, Dye uses pastels on sanded paper for her pieces. She enjoys painting vineyards, fl owers, and has recently fi nished a drawing of a dog, which brought Dye a lot of joy. Dye encourages anyone interested in art to start exploring it as soon as they can. “You don't have to get real serious about it, but take a class or two. If what you think you want to do is too hard then try a diff erent medium and at least get a creative outlet for your artistic adventure,” she said. A photo of a Pear Tree, painted by Lorraine Dye.
