OCTOBER 1, 2021, KEIZERTIMES, PAGE A9 C KNOW raises $30,000 at glamorous Percey event The Keizer Network of Women (KNOW) held the Percey Presents event on Thursday, Sept. 23 to benefi t its annual Giving Basket Program. More than 200 women attended the dinner featuring raffl es and a live auction. Keizer Network of Women is a Keizer Chamber group that orga- nizes the annual holiday project that collects gifts and food for families in need. Each December volunteers wrap toys and clothing for children and deliver them with boxes of food to families in the area. This year’s Percey Presents raised $30,000 (the goal was $15,000) for the Giving Basket D Project. The women-only event was held at the Keizer Civic Center. The theme was Red Carpet, with attendees having their photos taken as they arrived via the red carpet. Later they dined on peach- glazed beef brisket and lemon gar- lic chicken breast. Nathan Bauer emceed the eve- ning and served as auctioneer. The evening’s highlight was the bid- ding for a Michael Kors basket that included two handbags, two wallets and sunglasses. The winning bid was $3,000. Donating handbags for the event were: Michelle McElhaney (Olive Boutique), Heather Smith (Ticor Title), Jen Thurlow and Katie Bach (Bach & Fiori).
