District #1 (MCFD1) and Keizer Fire
District responded to a two-alarm grass/
brush fi re that destroyed a barn on 63rd
Ave. NE is Salem on Thursday, July 22.
More than 20 fi refi ghters battled wind
gusts to contain the fi re. Flames were
extinguished just over two hours after
the call was made.
No injuries were reported and no
nearby residents had to evacuate
